Leading food-on-the-go retailer, Greggs, is opening a new shop in the Twin Spires Complex, West Belfast (Friday 27 Jan).
It is the eighth company-managed Greggs to open in Northern Ireland inside the last 10 months, creating 12 new jobs for the local area.
The shop will offer the full range of Greggs products – from its famous baked savouries and great value coffee menu to confectionary products, salads, soups and freshly prepared sandwiches.
As part of its commitment to offer lighter, healthier alternatives customers will also be able to try Greggs’ popular Balanced Choice range including its recently launched sourdough bakes which are less than 300 calories.
Mary Harding, who has been appointed Shop Manager, said:
“I’m delighted to be leading our team in this great new shop. The people of Belfast have really taken to Greggs and we’re excited to be extending our offering to those who live and work in the Twin Spires area.”
The addition of Greggs to the Complex follows on from recent redevelopment work of Twin Spires and the inclusion of a Go Petrol forecourt which is due for completion. The complex is owned by The Ortus Group which was recently named Social Enterprise of the Year NI.
Noel Rooney, Ortus Property Executive added:
“As an organisation committed to driving social and economic regeneration in West Belfast we’re delighted to welcome Greggs to the Twin Spires Complex. We believe it will bring many benefits to both the complex and the local community complimenting the existing offering on site. With other projects progressing on site, we are looking forward to making more tenant announcements in the near future.”
Raymond Reynolds, retail director for Greggs, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to invest in this prime Belfast location and provide our valued customers with a modern and convenient new shop.”
Greggs Twin Spires is open Monday to Saturday (7am – 6pm) and Sun (10.30am to 5pm).
