The Ortus Group are delighted to announce that Laura Slevin, Manager of FLEX Language Services has been recognised in the 2016 Belfast Business Top 50 awards.

The awards, now in its 13th year, was held at Titanic Exhibition Centre last Friday (14th October) led by Ulster Bank and Belfast Media Group as part of the Belfast International Homecoming Conference 2016. The aim of the awards is to celebrate Belfast’s brightest entrepreneurs and business leaders from across a variety of sectors focussed on those driving economic success and community impact.

Laura Slevin was recognised for her work within FLEX Language Service, part of The Ortus Group. FLEX plays a prominent role in assisting local industry, commerce, public bodies and individuals to meet the demands of an expanding multi-lingual market. Laura, since taking the management role in 2012 has led the company to quadruple in size both in turnover and staff levels including being awarded all current public sector tenders for interpretation services.

Laura commented:

FLEX Language Services were also highlighted as top in their category – Social Enterprise. FLEX donate all profits to the ongoing community work of The Ortus Group plus provide ongoing training and support to all interpreters and translators through City Business Hub and Ortus Business Services. In addition, the company holds annual community and charity fundraising events.
